NURSING

Graduates in Nursing are the health professionals with responsibility for general nursing, preventive, curative, palliative, and rehabilitative care; they participate in the identification of the health needs of the person and the community; they identify the nursing care needs of the person and the community and formulate the related objectives; they plan, manage and evaluate the nursing care intervention making use of support staff where necessary; they ensure the correct application of diagnostic-therapeutic prescriptions.

They carry out self-education and training activities with respect to students, support staff, and new employees; develop research activities aimed at producing new knowledge for the continuous improvement of care; participate in interdisciplinary working groups for citizen care; and provide advice for the development of care services.
